Inspired by those making and sharing music on the balconies of Italy, Mikey and his sister organized “Project Choir-antine”; arranging 150 singers from 27 different cities in 4 different countries to come together and sing a song of hope and unity. Project Choir-antine also raised $3,000 for Food Banks Canada and $1,000 for the B.C. Women's Health Foundation COVID-19 relief fund to support healthcare workers on the front lines in B.C.
Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Mikey picked up a passion for writing music early on; at 15, he composed, arranged, and orchestrated his first original musical, entitled “Right Here, Write Now!”. The non-profit project, which was shown internationally over 5 years, raised over $250,000 for local and global charities.
